Are pets welcome?+
Certain ground-floor suites and our Garden Villas welcome pets on request, with a one-off cleaning charge added to your stay. We provide a complimentary welcome amenity for your dog (bed, bowls, treats), a walking service twice daily, and grooming on request. Cats may arrive in carriers but our suites do not include litter facilities — please tell us ahead of time.
What is your cancellation policy?+
Bookings may be cancelled at no charge up to fourteen days before arrival. Cancellations inside fourteen days are charged the first night; no-shows are charged the full stay. Suites and villas reserved at our Best Available Rate may be cancelled until 48 hours before arrival. We always suggest travel insurance.
Can you host private events?+
Yes. Our two ballrooms, eight private dining rooms, beach pavilion, and rotunda can be hired privately, with capacities from eight to four hundred guests. Weddings and milestone celebrations are a special pleasure of ours; our events director will prepare a proposal within forty-eight hours of a first enquiry.
How far is the airport?+
Roughly thirty-five minutes by private car along the coastal road in ordinary traffic, or fifty-five minutes if your driver takes the scenic inland route through the vineyards (we suggest this on arrival days when there is no hurry). By helicopter from the resort helipad, the journey is twelve minutes door-to-door.

Our kitchen follows whatever the coast brings each morning. The menu shifts weekly; the standard never does.

A shoreline retreat, 32 years in the making.
Tropicaloceanregency opened in 1994 as one villa on a sheltered bay, and expanded only when we knew we could grow without losing what made a visit worthwhile. 32 years later, we keep 110 rooms and suites, two kitchens and two gaming rooms, and we still decline more bookings than we accept.
Luxury, for us, is not marble and gilt. It is the second coffee you never had to request, the driver who recalls your name, the table kept an hour past closing because the conversation was unfinished. We hire for that instinct and we keep the people who have it.
Most of our guests return, and that is the entire plan. We would rather 60 percent of a smaller circle come back each year than chase a larger one that never does.

Live Entertainment
Jazz evenings in the main bar, headline performances in the rotunda, and close lounge sets four nights a week. The Thursday pianist has been with us for years. Some guests travel solely to hear him.
